ZJL series vertical centrifugal slurry pump is a floor-standing device that has only one impeller and allows liquid to enter the pump from only one side. Its working principle is based on the most advanced concept of solid-liquid two-phase flow, which enables the pump to have minimum friction loss. All its pumping components along the flow passage come in optimized geometric shapes that offer least possible resistance to a steady flow, as contrasted with the retarding eddies, collisions that lead to friction loss. Reduced turbulent flow also means less parts wear, noise and vibration as well as improved slurry transportation efficiency.
The pumping parts are made of hardened alloy cast iron that delivers high resistance to wear, corrosion, and impact. Therefore, a prolonged use life can be achieved.
This series of slurry pump is usually submerged in the sump or slurry pool. It uses no shaft seal or seal water. When equipped with the extension shaft, the pump can be used in deeper sumps. Typical applications of the pump are in the mining, metallurgy, electric power, coal, chemical, and building material industries, where it is used to transport abrasive, corrosive slurry that contain solid particles. The maximum mass concentration of solid-liquid mixture that the pump can handle is 45% for the mortar, and 60% for the pulp.
