Why We Design the Screw Compressor for Coal Bed Gas Compression?
Coal bed gas refers to hydrocarbon gas, also known as coal-mine gas, extracted from coal beds. It is mainly composed of methane, and usually attaches to the surface of coal matrix particles, exists in coal pores or dissolves in coal bed water. As unconventional gas, it is the associated mineral resource of coal, and becomes an important energy source and chemical material in recent decades due to good cleanliness and high quality.
In order to recycle and make full use of this energy, we have designed the screw compressor to compress coal bed gas. Our range of twin screw compressor is typically applied to supercharge mash gas from the wells before coal mining, and gather and transport it.

Technical Features of the Screw Compressor
1. The screw compressor directly pumps mash gas from coal beds to effectively recover mash gas and guarantee stable output pressure of gas recovery system.
2. Its suction system contains a special device to avoid sucking air, so the recovery system contains no air.
3. The gas compression system adopts water spraying inner cooled compression method with twin screw, which makes sure that the temperature of mash gas during compression does not exceed 85℃, and contributes to high pressure, reliable operation and great efficiency.
4. The screw gas compressor comes with a mechanical seal to isolate mash gas from outside air and lubricant, so as to prevent air infiltration and mash gas leakage.
5. The screw compressor for coal bed gas compression uses frequency control to save energy and adapt to the change of mash gas.
6. There are slots on the screw type lines for holding silt. Hence, the gas compression equipment is able to function properly even mash gas has some solid impurities.
7. The screw compressor comes with stable operation, less vibration, low noise and long working life.
8. Controlled by PLC, it is fitted with explosion-proof instruments and electrical equipment, to improve safety.
9. Its reasonable structure enables it to be placed on the cement foundation without anchor bolts.
10. The skid-mounted screw compressor for coal bed gas compression is easy to dismantled, and can serve as a mobile coal bed gas recovery device.
