Features
1. The integrated hydraulicsystem of our 500T variable frequency top drive drilling system is of greatreliability and it is set on the top side which allows easy maintenance anddebug test. The hydraulic source is made up by ABB explosion-proof motor andRexroth variable displacement pump, and it is turned on only in the process ofround trip, make up, break out and directional drilling, and it can be turnedoff when drilling. In addition, the hydraulic components are supplied byRexroth, SUN, and ATOS, and the hydraulic system gives heat at a low level.
2. There are two load channels existing in the hoisting system. The main shaft and gear box carry load when drilling while swivel head and gear box bear the weight during roundtrip. And the gear drive part of the top drive retarder box uses splash andforced lubrication together to ensure the performance and the gear box hasobtained the relevant certificates in China. Meanwhile, there are 7 ducts inthe swivel head including one spare duct, andthe others are designed for tilted cylinder, L-type back-up tong, and hydraulicelevator. The swivel head is well designed,strictly manufactured and carefully installed, thus the mechanical and sealingproperties are pledged.
3. L-type inclining and swinging clamping back-up tong is used for thepipe handler of our 500T variable frequency top drive drilling system.
a. Link tilt equipment is able to incline forward, swing backward and rotate,thus the lower end of the top drive is very close to the drill floor during theprocess of drilling and grabbing the drill pipe. So, we can make full use ofthe drilling machine.
b. The L-type back-up tong rotates with the swivel head, and the replacementsof short circuit protection, up/down IBOP and tong teeth are available.
4. 500T variable frequencytop drive drilling system has 2 variable frequency drive motors speciallydesigned for top drive machines. Also, it owns Siemens G150 frequencyconversion system and FAG bearings. It utilizes hard winding structure for thestator and the insulation level is H. Under the same condition, the currentcapacity is two times higher than the scattered embedded lacquered wire. Also, the imported FCR thin film is used for turn-to-turn insulation, and thewhole motor is in the solvent-free VPI. In addition, pressurized explosionproofing design protects the motor from potential danger. The full laminative structure of the motor is beneficial for heat dissipation and lightening theweight and volume. Besides, the motor is end-fixed along with outside linkmethod, thus the stability is improved.
5. Double-pin structure with a drop-proof design is one feather of the guiderail of our 500T variable frequency top drive drilling system, and theinstallation is easy and quick.
6. Siemens PLC is used to control the subsystem. With lots of functions such asinterlocking, monitoring and alarming, the safety of the system is guaranteed.
7. It is convenient to transport and install our machine due to the modulardesign.

Our 500T variable frequency top drive drilling system,DQ70-Ш-A, has a working height of 6.07m, and the backup tong ranges from 27/8in to 5 1/2in and the hydraulic system working pressure can reach up to16Mpa. The power supply of the motor is 600V AC, and the motor is wellprotected due to the pressurized explosion-proof design. Our China-made cableis specially designed for offshore drilling, and the insulating sheath of thecable is made of no-crack rubber produced in America, which gives greatprotection to the cable inside. The high-pressure protecting jacket is alsoemployed. Based on these, the cable shows good resistance to high/low temperature, oil, mud, and corrosion, and the IP rating is IP67.
