DuplexStainless Steel Tube
Mainly containingCr, Mo, Ni and N, duplex stainless steel tube with a ferritic-austenitic structure has superiorresistance to corrosion, like good resistance to acids, bases, or chlorideenvironments. Thetube made of SAF 2507 or UNS S32750 comes with outstanding resistance topitting corrosion which is often known as a PRE-number. It can be also made ofthe steel grade with the PRE number over 40. DP3W or UNS S39274 contains theaddition like 2.0%W. Similarly, having 1.5% Cu addition, Uranus 52N or NSS32529 made stainless steel tube owns stronger resistance to corrosion. Zeron 100 made tube is alloyedwith additions like 0.7% Cu and 0.7% W. Meanwhile, DTS 25.7NWCu or UNS S39277made tube is infused with 1.7% Cu and 1.0% W or so.
Another type duplex stainless steel tube with high resistance to chloridecontains 0.3% to 4% Mn, 28%to35% Cr, 3% to10% Ni, 1% to 3% Mo, as well as Cu no more than1.0% and W up to 2.0%. Generally, it has PRE number greater than 40. Inaddition to chloride environments, it also can be used in the environment wherethe resistance to intergranularcorrosion and corrosion in ammonium carbamatesis critical.
