Besides, an enhanced CTCSS tone encoder and decoders together with a powerful microprocessor provide paging and selective calling. You can call a specific station ad receive calls only to you. A specialized bell can be set in this scheme.

If the channel is crowded, such as 12.5 or 15kHz channel spacing, the narrow deviation setting could effectively reduce the deviation of transmitter to reduce the potential interference to nearby users. The gain of microphone can also be adjusted to fit microphones from other company or Packet TNCs.
