LT-5500 professional portable radio transceiver features an ON and OFF password protection to prevent unauthorized users from operating your radio transceiver.  Built-in CTCSS and CDCSS are also used to help group users to avoid unwanted conversations on the same channel. Squelch Tail Elimination function will also minimize the annoying audio outputs that occur at the end of a transmission. The squelch level can be adjusted in 9 grades.

With 128 channels, our LT-5500 professional portable radio transceiver provides hangs free VOX function to help you control our radio transceiver by your voice. Besides, the radio can be switched for both low power and high power consumption. If the talk range is small, the radio will switch itself to low or middle power to save battery. The radio also automatically enters battery save mode in 12 seconds if no signal is transmitted or received and no operation is made. The 1200mAh li-ion battery will work much longer in this mode.
