Cooling Unit  

All the cooling pipes and coolers are made of stainless steel and brass, and the cooling water of power supply adopts the purified water inner recycling method. 

All the cooling pipes are zinc coated, and the cooling water adopts running water outer recycling method.

Reliability 

It features high reliability because the IGBT type can shut off by itself and the protections are temporary.

This type of furnace has no protections, so its reliability is not so satisfactory as the  IGBT type furnace.

Electricity Consumption

Due to the adoption of series circuit and little reactive current, the IGBT furnace significantly saves power by 25%-30% and has much higher power factor up to 0.95 to 0.98 without requiring any compensation. Also, this product asks no reactive power compensation cabinet.

IGBT Furnace

The power factor of the SCR electric furnace reaches 0.75 to 0.8 and reactive power compensation cabinet is of great necessity.

Start-up Performance

This type of furnace comes with 100% start-up success rate under any circumstances, and with the constant power output.

This type of furnace takes much longer time to start without constant power output. And the first melting cycle asks for exceptionally long time.

Impact on Power Grid

It virtually exerts no harmonic impact on power grid.

By contrast, it has greater harmonic impact on the power grid.

Power Supply  Configuration

The IGBT power supply can be overlaid together to enlarge the power capacity or to realize “two furnaces, one power supply” mode, thus saving a lot of materials.

This type of electric furnace can not achieve such functions as the IGBT furnace does.
