Steel Pipe Reducer
A steel pipe reducer is the component in apipeline that decreases the pipe size to a smaller bore. There are two maintypes of reducer: concentric and eccentric reducer. Some pipe reducers aremanufactured by means of punch forming and others by bending, extruding, pushing, molding or machining.
The steelpipe reducer is used when liquid flow increases or decreases in smallquantities. In order to prevent cavitation, it is also used to connect to the inlet hole ofpump. Besides, it is also useful to connect joints in instrument like flowmeter and control valve. The steel reducer also finds applications in sugarmills and distilleries, pumps, petrochemical, cement and constructionindustries and steel plants. It can be stored in fumigation-free boxes orwooden holders.
The maximum wallthickness of the steel pipe reducer is up to 150 mm and there are other schedule numbers such assch10, sch20, sch30, std, sch40, sch60, xs, sch80, sch100, sch120,sch140, sch160, xxs, sch5s,sch20s, sch40s and sch80s available.
