Platform Based Container

The platform based container has no roof and side panels. Some of them haveno front or rear walls, just floor and four corner posts. It is suitable forcarrying long, big and heavy cargo such as heavy-duty machinery, steels, steeltube, wood and steel ingots.

The platform based container falls intothe following categories: open side platform based container, whole skeletonplatform based container, platform based container with complete and fixed endwall, platform based container just having corner posts and floor without endwall.

To keep longitudinal strength, platform based container has thicker floor thancommon containers and is less high. Rings are set at the bottom of corner postsand beams to fix cargoes firmly. It is not suitable for goods requiringwaterproofing.
