Rigid Metal Conduit, Steel Conduit Pipe

The rigid metal conduit is made of carbon steel coil according to ANSI C80.1 and UL6 standards. Its ULcertificate No. is E308290. Itsdiameter can be from 1/2” to 6”, and its length can be 3050 mm or according to customer’srequirement. Both ends of the rigid metal conduit are threaded, with onecoupling on one end and one plastic cap protector on the other. Theprotector color varies with the conduit pipe size, and details are shown in thesecond table below.

This type of steel conduit pipe features hot dip galvanized surfacefinish, which ensures second to none corrosion protection. The inside surface of the rigid metal conduit is extra smooth, making wire pulling and pushing easy and ensuring higher wire capacity and no risk of wire obstruction. The smooth surface also reduces friction between thepipe wall and wire. The rigidmetal conduit has physical andmechanical properties ensuring an extended life cycle, great for usage orstorage without quality problems. It is also ideal for use in hard weatherconditions even with strong mechanical use. It resists cracking, flaking,peeling, impact and damage from severe bending.

The rigid metal conduit is durable, strong and is easy tocut, form and join. The steel conduitpipe has ductility characteristics for easy bending, cuttingand threading in the working field. For easy and safe transportation, theconduit pipes are covered with PVC sheet and tied with steel straps.
