Detailed Description of the Low-EGlass
1. Low-E glass is one of coated glass that has higher reflection ofthe sunlight, wavelength from 2.5um to 25um and is also called Low-E coatedglass. And it is divided into two series of colorless transparent and coloredLow-E coated glass. Used in middle and high latitudes, colorless transparentglass’ transmittance is higher than 70%. It can stop heat energy indoor fromscattering to raise temperature indoors. Used in low latitudes, colored glass alsocalled Sun-E glass, can blockthe sun to a certain degree while preventing energy from out.
2. Low-E Glass refers to a series of high-performance, low-emissivity products manufactured by Rider Glass byintroducing state-of-the-art vacuum sputtering coating equipment.
3. The vacuum sputtering process coats glass surfaces with several layers ofdifferent materials. Among these, a silver layer effectively reflects infraredrays while maintaining good thermal performance. Beneath the silver layer is ananti-reflective tin oxide (Sio2) base layer that increases the transparency ofthe glass. Above the silver layer is an isolating nickel-chromium (NiCr) alloy coating. The mainfunction of the top anti-reflective tin oxide (Sno2) layer is to protect theother coating layers. TheLow-E glass offers the high transparency, low reflectivity, and good thermalinsulating and energy-saving properties required of modern architectural glassand green building design.
4. It has good spectrum selectivity, could admit the near infrared ray andvisible light from sun, could block off quite a few ultraviolet ray goingindoors. It not only keeps the light brightness indoors, but also decreases theheat load indoors. It has the advantages of saving energy, environmentprotection, comfortable living and blocking the UV radiation etc.
5. With optional thicknesses including 4mm, 5mm, 6mmetc., theLow-E glass is available in different sizes: 3300*2140mm, 3300*2250mm etc.

2. The Low-E glass is highly transparent to visible light (wavelength380nm-780nm) and will not produce significant glare problems caused by highreflectance of visible light. It allows most sunlight in the visible range tocenter without altering its natural color,provides good natural illumination and saves energy by reducing the need forartificial lighting.
3. The Low-E glass has reflectively high reflectance of infrared radiation(wavelength780nm-3000nm). In particular, it reflects nearly all long-waveinfrared (wavelength greater than 3000nm). Also the glass blocks the entranceof large amounts of heat, and leaves interior comfortably cool in summer andwarm in winter.
