Heat shrink sleeves aredesigned for corrosion protection on field applied girth-weld joints of buriedand exposed steel pipelines operating up to 176°F (80°C). The inner layer has epoxyprimer components coated on steel pipe, the intermediate level is a special hotmelt adhesive and the outer layer has modified radiation crossing linkingpolyethylene backing.

Heat Shrink Sleeves Types
The HSS-W, heat shrink wraparound sleeves has two pieces with separateclosures. The open sleeve configuration allows the product to be applied afterthe pipeline has been welded and cleaned.

The HSS-T, heat shrink tubular sleeves are closed type sleeves to be installedbefore joining the pipe ends by sliding the coat from a free end of the pipeonto the area to be coated. It is designed for corrosion protection of flanges,casings, bell and spigot joints and other high profile couplings.
