According to functions, the excavator bucket is divided into grid bucket,cleaning bucket, tilting bucket, ditching bucket, and more. The grid bucket isused to separate the soft, dredged materials, accomplishing excavation and separation at one go. It has wide applications inmunicipal engineering, agriculture, forestry, water conservancy, earth andstone work. The cleaning bucket and tilt bucket are applied to the slopesurface conditioning, and large scale desilting work; the tilt bucket is able to change the angle of inclination by means ofthe oil cylinder, which improves the working efficiency enormously. As to theditching bucket, it is suitable for excavating ditches of various shapes,enabling simultaneous forming with ditching and high efficiency with no need ofconditioning.

Regarding materials, there are rock bucket, standard bucket, reinforced bucket,and others. The rock bucket is manufactured through the use of the low alloysteel plate Q345B and wear-resistant steel plate(NM400) as well as quality welding wire JM58. The excavator bucket provides strong resistance to abrasion and bending. The toothholder and side edge of the rock bucket are made of wear-resistant steel HARDOXwith ultra-high strength from Sweden.And the excavator bucket is used for the excavation of hard earth mixed withhard gravel, weathered stone, or heavy-duty loading of solid rock and blastedore. The standard bucket, made using quality high-strength structural steel16Mn, is suited for light-duty applications such as excavation of clay, looseearth, and loading of sand, soil, and gravel, etc. The reinforced bucket hasits wearing parts, i.e. the tooth holder and side edge, made of high-strengthabrasion-resistant steel NM360, and is applicable to excavation of hard earthwith softer gravel or carrying heavy loads of gravel, crushed stone, etc.

In terms of working modes, the excavator bucket falls into the face shovelbucket and backhoe bucket. The latter is the commonly used type.
