Heat Pipe Solar Collector

The heat pipe solar collector consists of a vacuum tube and a red copper heat pipe inside. The vacuum tube is placedin an inclined mode. The selective coating on the inner tube converts the solarenergy into heat and the heat is transferred to the heat pipe via the aluminumfin. When heated, the liquid medium in the heat pipe changes into a vapor,which rises to the condenser. When passing through the heat exchanger, the heatis absorbed and the temperature is lowered, causing the vapor tobecome liquid and return to the base of the heat pipe. This transference of heat is acontinuous cycle as long as the heat pipe solar collector is being heated bythe sun. Although the boiling point of the medium liquid is only 25-30℃,its freezing point is the same as water, which is 0℃. As the heatpipe is located within the vacuum tube, it will not freeze even if theovernight temperature reaches -30℃ for a short time.
