1. BriefIntroduction of ASA
Developed in the 1970s, ASA is a ternary polymer composed of Acrylonitile,Styrene and Acrylate.  It belongs toshock-resistance modified SAN resin.

Becausethe double bond is easily opened by the ultra violet in the sunlight, themacromolecule materials with a double bond tend to be decomposed.  There is acrylic rubber without unsaturateddouble bonds in ASA, while in ABS the homologues material is bivinylrubber with unsaturated double bonds. Consequently, the ASA products not only resist degradation, ageing andcolor deterioration caused by the ultraviolet ray, but also reduce thedecomposition or color changing caused by the high temperature during theoxidative manufacturing procedure in the atmosphere, and greatly promote theanti-aging and weatherproof performance ofmaterials.  According to the test result,the anti-aging performance of ASA is 10 times greaterthan ABS.

1.Super Weather ResistantProperty
GEemploys the American ASTM 26 Standard to test aging performance ofproducts.  The test duration has exceeded5000 hours.  Their Delta E is much lessthan the maxim value specified in the standard. In order to do a sufficient investigation of their ageing performance,the test is in ongoing.
Additionally, compared with theresults of an experiment done in Arizona withthose in Florida,the final Delta E was close to each other when irradiated the samples indifferent angles of arrival (5o, 45o, 90o). That is to say, when used in buildings and windows, the profiles willhave a relatively consistent ageing process in different elevations such as ineast, north, south, vertical plane and other slant.
The two results above showed that the profileshave a tiny chromatic aberration for different windows of the building.
The aging test of Zhongcai co-extrusion profiles given by the National ResearchCenter of Testing Techniques for Building Materials showed that they hadreached the national standard for weatherproof performance.  The step gray scale is 4, while the requiredone according to national standard is only 3
