Surface TreatmentThe shop primer coated surfaces require secondary rust removal, which is to reach the Grade St3 of the Sweden derusting standard. For the zinc rich primer painted surfaces that are long exposed to air, get rid of white rust, grease, and all impurities before applying the two component epoxy MIO antirust primer. The chalked surface should be grinded and kept free of dust.
Operating ConditionsThe substrate temperature should be 3℃ higher than the dew point, and the relative humidity should be less than 85%. If the substrate temperature is below 5℃ and reaction of epoxy and curing agent stops, the epoxy MIO antirust primer can not be applied.
