Different from a spark plug ignited petrol engines, diesel engines use compression ignition. Diesel engines are internal combustion engines and the higher the compression ratio, the higher the engine's efficiency. Yinjia produced diesel engine has a compression ratio ranging from 19 to 22.
As a result of their compression ratio, diesel engines feature the highest thermal efficiency among both internal and external combustion engines.
