Working Principle
Upon turning the ignition switch of a Car on, aSTARTER SMall amount of power from the battery isreleased. This power goes to the solenoid above the car starter. In thisprocess, the magnetic field that causes pulling force is produced, with whichthe solenoid plunger moves forward. After which, the attached shift yoke movesthe starter drive. The pinion gear will then mesh with the engine crankshaftwheel. The plunger will strike a contact after completing its travels whichwill result to greater amount of current to flow from the battery to thestarter. And then, the motor will spin the drive and turn the meshed gears tosupply power to the crankshaft for every cylinder to get prepared for ignition.After the engine start-up the ignition is released to break the startingcircuit. Subsequently, the solenoid magnetic field disintegrated and the returnspring pulls the plunger back, making the Starter Motor to automatically shutoff and disengage the starter drive.
