RUPS 2000 software has been developed for UPS (uninterruptible power supplies)following the dry contact DB9 communication protocol.  It monitors the status of the UPS, shuts downthe system before the UPS is exhausted and can remotely observe the UPS via theInternet.  It enables users to managetheir time more effectively.  When the ACfailure or UPS battery runs low, RUPS takes all necessary actions withoutintervention from the system administrator.  In addition to functions of automatic files saving and system shut-down, RUPS can send warning messages via pager, email etc., preventingfile damage if power is suddenly turned off.
RUPS may be configured to start at system power-up, even if a user has notlogged on.  It also supports otheruser-added international language extensions.
