Olycom ET2500 desktop bit error rate tester is used to detect received data, from which it obtains the total bits (RBM) and error bits (RBEM). While a microprocessor serves to work out the BER (which is equal to RBEM/RBM) and provides real-time display of the parameters. Related software offers data display and printing functions. The desktop bit error rate tester comes with one clock channel and one electrical interface, with one optical interface optional.
The bit error rate tester enables parameter setting and display through the menu interface, and real-time display of error bits, error rate, data and time.
The indicator lamp shows the operating states of the desktop bit error rate tester, including start, stop, error code, no data, and record.
RS232 serial data port is available to connect with computer, which, if installed with special software, can read the data record stored in the desktop bit error rate tester. The data can thus be saved in computer and printed out.
