Water Hydrogen Cooled Turbine Generator

Shanghai Electric and Westinghouse Electric once jointly designed 300MW、600MW class generators. In addition, our company introduced, digested and absorbed the technology of 1000MW class generator of Siemens. On the basis of that, our company independently developed the third technology of water hydrogen cooled turbine generator and two-pole water hydrogen cooled turbine generator which can meet the needs of market. And the capacity of generator covers 200MW~1300MW.

Stator coils of water hydrogen cooled turbine generator are cooled by water while rotor coils and stator cores are cooled by hydrogen. A series of techniques are applied to water hydrogen cooled turbine generator. The structure which can resist creep and completely compensate the magnetic field is applied to stator cores. Spherical joint is applied in composite water-electric joint of stator coils. The end of the stator is filled with glue as a whole. Turn - to - turn insulation structure which is made by using seamless stitching technology is applied in rotor and the rotor does not need to repair in 10 years if there are no special circumstances.

Leading Position in the Industrial Fields

Two-pole water hydrogen cooled turbine generator has a superior performance. Its performance and reliability reach the world advanced level through continuous optimization and improvement. At the same time, it has got a series of national patent and it was selected into shanghai high and new technology achievement transformation project. In addition, it was honored as Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, National key new product and first prize of National Thermal Power Unit Competition.

Production Capacity and Achievements
Contracts have been signed for 700 two-pole water hydrogen cooled turbine generators, including 310 units of 300MW class generators. And 500 two-pole water hydrogen cooled turbine generators have been put into operation, including 270 units of 300MW class generators. 300MW class generator is mainly applied in Hubei Hanchuan power plant, Jiangsu Jianbi power plant, Ningxia dam power plant, Shandong Qingdao power plant and Shandong Zoucheng power plant. In addition, it has been exported to Turkey, Iran, India, Vietnam and Pakistan. Contracts have been signed for 255 units of 600MW water hydrogen cooled turbine generator and 174 have been put into operation. It mainly applied in Shanghai Wujing power plants, Guangdong Taishan power plants, Jiangsu Wang Ting power plants, Shandong Liaocheng power plants. In addition, it has been exported to Turkey, India, Vietnam, Iraq and other countries. 1000MW class generator is mainly used in Shanghai Waigaoqiao power plant, Zhejiang Yuhuan power plant and Tianjin North Xinjiang power plant. 119 units of 1000MW class generator have been ordered and more than 50 units have been put into use. And it obtained the first domestic export projects of 1.1 million class, Indonesia Cilacap and Java project. Two-pole water hydrogen cooled turbine generator is also used in Beijing Zheng Changzhuang power plant, Shanxi Pingyao power plant, Anhui Huaibei power plant and Henan Kaifeng power plant and other dozens of power plants. And it is exported to Indonesia, Bangladesh and Africa. Hundreds of units have been put into operation and the operation is very safe.
