Introduction

The adjustable force gas spring is similar to a standard compression gas spring in structure, but it incorporates an additional mechanism for force adjustment. Through the adjustment, the non-locking gas spring can reach to the desired position. A standard variable force gas strut could be one-way or two-way force adjusted.

A one-way force adjustable gas spring reaches to the required position by using an additional mechanism to reduce gas inside its pressure cylinder. On the other hand, a two-way force adjustable one uses the additional mechanism to reduce or increase gas inside the pressure cylinder.
