Also called rain tester, the water resistance tester measure the resistance of fabrics and composites to the penetration of water by impact, and thus can be used to predict the probable rain penetration resistance.
Working Principle of the Water Resistance Tester
This water impact penetration tester sprays water in the horizontal direction onto the test specimen which is vertically fixed inside the testing box, and the rain is formed by a column of water which can be adjusted from 600mm to 2400mm. In addition, the sample is backed by a blotter, and this blotter needs to be weighted both before and after the test.
