Pigging Valve

The pigging valve produced in KIST shows powerful capacity in cleaning pipe, isolating and transferring medium, and detecting pipeline system. It works to receive and launch pigs in water, oil, and natural gas pipelines. Pigging ball valve is an ideal replacement for the complex traditional pig receiving and launching device. Flange of the valve is in line with the ISO5211 standards and can be connected with various driving devices. Users can choose any driving devices according to their actual needs.

Main Features
1. The pig receiving and launching valve is lightweight and takes only little space. Maintenance operation is easy and can be done on line. For valve installation, users don't have to use any other additional tools. The integral structure of the valve commits zero leakage.
2. At the side of the valve we have set an easily-removable gate. Users can take the pig out simply by opening the discharge valve and the vent valve, and turning the gate.
3. The valve ball employs fixed structure and PTEF metal bushing with good lubrication, allowing the gate to be opened easily even under large negative pressure. The floating valve seat is designed with double-block-and-bleed (DBB) function to release the pressure in the cavity automatically.
4. For reliable sealing, we have adopted fluorine rubber O ring and high-temperature graphite gasket for the pig valve.
5. The valve is in accordance with the API6D standards.
6. It is resistant to fire and static electricity, and is in line with the API607/BS6755.
7. Materials for the pipeline ball valve are in conformity with the NAEMR01-75 requirements.

Types of Pigging Valve Available
1. PC type pigging valve
This type is a standard pigging valve used for pipe cleaning operation. Its bore area is 25% larger than the total flowing area, ensuring the continuous and smooth transfer of medium. The liquid flowing process will be terminated will the valve is launched or removed.
2. PB type pigging valve
PB type valve is a kind of bypass pigging valve. It is designed with 2 elliptical bores on the valve body, the flowing area of which is 25% of that of the pipe ports. This structure ensures that the flow will not be cut off even when user is launching or receiving a pig. PB type pigging valve can't be used as a shutoff valve.
3. PS type pigging valve
PS type pigging valve is used for isolate and transfer medium. Its bore area is about 3% larger than the area of pipe outlets. In the bore for receiving pigging valve, a seal is additionally set to ensure an ideal isolating and sealing result.
