These fiber media converters also called Ethernet fiber media converters implement mutual conversion between 10Base-T/100Base-TX twisted pair electrical signals and 100Base-FX optical signals. This type of fiber converter can extend data transmission ranges from 100m to over 120km. They support dual-fiber multimode, dual-fiber single mode and single-fiber single mode systems.
