Yichang Library

In November, 2011, we adopted the EPC cooperation mode of Yichang Jinsen Energy-Saving Technology Service Co., Ltd. and began the lighting reconstruction project for Yichang Library. The contract term lasts for 3 years, during which we should replace the T8 lamps with 3G CCFL tube lights.

Yichang Development and Reform Commission, the third party authorized by Yichang Government Offices Administration, is in charge of assessing and determining the final power saving rate. According to relevant requirements, the overall power saving rate of this library reaches 53.9% after the reconstruction.

Supposing that the working time is 8 hours per day, the power costs 0.92 per kilowatt-hour and there are 258 working days per year, this project helps to save 29017.5 CNY per year, and the total saved power charges of 3 years can be 87052.5 CNY. Besides, 15,000 CNY maintenance costs are saved per year if one maintenance worker is required, and 69,000 CNY product replacement costs are saved for 3 years.

This project is a response to the national energy conservation and emission reduction strategy. It largely improves the luminous environment of this library and creates a healthy reading environment for readers.
