Introduction
The fuel water separator is a kind of filtration equipment designed for separating oil and water mixtures into their separate components. Based on the varied density between oil and water, it makes use of the theory of gravity settling to remove impurities and oil in water. The oil water separation equipment includes multiple separation elements to improve efficiency.
How Does the Fuel Water Separator Work?
1. The oily sewage is delivered by sewage pumps into the oil water separator. While passing through the divergent nozzle, the large particles of oil droplets will float on the top of the left side oil chamber.
2. Sewage containing small oil droplets enters into the corrugated plate style coalescer where the smaller oil droplets will be aggregated into larger ones and float on the top of right side oil chamber.
3. The left sewage with very fine oil droplets goes through the fine filter to remove impurities, and then goes into the fiber-based aggregator to aggregate into larger ones to facilitate separation with water.
4. After separation, the clean water will be discharged from the outlet, and the oil in left and right side oil chambers will be discharged automatically by the solenoid valve. The oil coming from the fiber-based aggregator will be discharged via the manual valve.
