1. Clethodim is a selective, post-emergence, cyclohexenone herbicide used to control annual and perennial grasses in a wide variety of broadleaf crops including soybeans, cotton, flax, peanuts, sunflowers, sugarbeets, potatoes, alfalfa and most vegetables.
2. It is available in both the technical form and an emulsifiable concentrate. Unless otherwise stated, data presented herein refers to the technical product.
3. Clethodim has shown antagonism when used with Basagran (bentazon) or Blazer (acifluorfen-sodium). It should be used with a non-phytotoxic crop oil concentrate.
4. This product is very well-tolerated by broad-leaved crops, showing little if any phytotoxic effect. Its formulations may include trimethylbenzene, xylenes, cumene and emulsifier as inert ingredients.
Uses
1. Clethodim is a high-selectivity foliar treatment agent with uptake and translocation properties. It is suitable for post-emergence control of annual and perennial grasses at 60-240g/ha.
2. This product can be applied in trees, vines, vegetable crops, and a wide range of broad-leaved crops including soybeans, cotton, flax, sunflowers, alfalfa, peanuts, oilseed rape, sugar beet, tobacco, and potatoes.
