Spiral binding, a spiral of coated wire (e.g. irony wire, copper wire, plastic wire, etc.) looped through large perforations at the top or side of the page, is more complicated than saddle stitched binding. This kind of binding suits notebooks of 120-300 pages and hardcover notebooks. Usually, PVC boards or thickened water-proof art paper are used as the cover to protect the inside pages, which helps to increase the life time of the notebook and is suitable for more printing methods. Different images, logos, and slogans can be printed on the cover.
