Super Duplex Stainless Steel Wire Mesh

The duplex stainless steel that our wire mesh employs is a kind of material that the proportion of the ferrite phase to the austenite phase in solid solution structure is about 1:1. In addition, the content of the part accounting for smaller percentage should reach to 30%. Under the condition of low C content, the Cr content is 18% to 28% and the Ni content is 3% to 10%. Some other steel also contains the alloy elements such as Mo, Cu, Nb, Ti and N.

The duplex stainless steel has the characteristics of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. Apart from the features of ferritic stainless steel involving 475℃ brittleness, high coefficient of thermal conductivity and superplasticity, it has higher plasticity and toughness without room temperature brittleness. Meanwhile, the resistance to intergranular corrosion and the welding property have been improved markedly. Compared with the austenitic stainless steel, the duplex stainless steel performs more excellently in strength as well as resistance to intergranular corrosion and chloride stress corrosion. Moreover, it has good resistance to pitting corrosion. The material is also a kind of nickel-saving stainless steel.
