Halogen Lamp

A halogen lamp, a type of incandescent lamp, contains a tungsten filament sealed within a glass envelope that is filled with inert gas and a small amount of a halogen. The filament glows and emits light when electrical power is applied to it. Compared to common incandescent lamps, halogen lamps have higher efficacy, longer lifetime, and can operate at a higher temperature. In addition, halogen lamps can be discarded because they don't contain any mercury.
