Control Module

The controller is a monitoring and control unitused as the vital nerve center of the DC power plant.  The system operates from the elegant frontpanel, using three front keys and the LCD-display.  They represent the main interface between youand the system.

Features
1.  This product is designed with front panel LCDand buttons for on-site service without PC.
2.  USB or RS-232 interface are availablefor PC connection locally or remote monitoring and control via modem, Ethernet,web or SNMP.
3.  6 user programmable relay outputs canbe used for traditional remote monitoring.
4.  6 user programmable inputs can beused to monitor other equipment on site.
5.  With battery monitoring and testing,there is no need to manage it on site.
6.  Our control module has the functionof temperature compensated charging for increased battery lifetime.
7.  It has a battery lifetime indication.
8.  This control module features passwordprotected operator access levels.
9.  It has an alarm and event log withtime and date.
10.  It uses Windows-based PCcommunication software.

Applications
1.  CAN Bus Communication
The control module utilizes a digital interface architecture.  It allows the unit to support a dedicatedcommunication channel with each rectifier, providing for increased number offunctions and greater flexibility.

2.  Modular Design
The controller is extremely flexible in its expandability.  Additional units connected to the CAN bus canbe added to provide extended functionality and increased number of measuringpoints.  Accordingly, the systemcomponents can be set up and upgraded to meet the demand of any tailor-madepower solution.

Remote Monitoring and Control
1.  From a PC running PowerSuite
With a Windows-based communication program installed on a remote computer, thesystem can be monitored and controlled via modem or Ethernet network.
2.  Using Alarm Relays, Voltage Free Contacts
Six internal failsafe alarm relays provide voltage free contacts that can beconnected to equipment used for traditional alarm monitoring.

Local Monitoring and Control
1.  From a PC Running PowerSuite
A Windows-based communication software, it can also communicate with thecontroller through an USB serial or RS-232 cable.
2.  LCD and Three Keypads for Local Operations
If any major alarm or minor alarm is activated, a redor yellow LED is lit in the front panel. The alarm text will appear in the LCD and the corresponding alarm relayis activated.
In normal operation, the front LCD will display the output voltage, batterycurrent, load current and charge mode.
