Insulation Cable Clamp (Lightning Protection)

SMS insulation cable clamp is applied in overhead distribution lines. It is installed in the insulated wire near the insulators. The lightning overvoltage that exceeds a certain level will cause flashover between the grounding electrode and the puncture electrode of the insulation cable clamp, to form short circuit passage. Then the constant power frequency arc burns on the arc arms of the clamp to release overvoltage energy, thus protecting the wire from burning.
