Cocoa Powder Pigment

The cocoa powder pigment is derived from the seed coat of theobroma cacao L. which has gone through various processes including the acid pickling, washing, alkaline cleaning, filtration, thickening, purification, and the desiccation process.

This cocoa powder pigment is a brown-colored powder that basically consists of polyketide glycoside. Its aqueous solution is chocolate-colored. The almost neutral solution features high stability. Precipitation easily occurs when pH value is below 4. As pH value increases, the color of the solution gradually deepens. However, its hue does not change.

This product is highly resistant to heat, oxidation and light. It gives high tinting strength for starches and proteins.

Storage
Our product must be sealed and stored in a sunless, dry and cool place.
