Open Circuit Protection: When the output end is not connected to any load, the input end still works as usual, causing no damage to the whole driver.
Short Circuit Protection: Short circuit occurs when there is a direct path through the wires from the positive terminal to the negative terminal. The short circuit protection keeps LED driver components from the damage caused by excessive current.
Overload and Under-load Protection: Our waterproof LED driver is designed to offer constant output current. During the overload or under-load situation, the constant current driver would enter one of the two states of protection.
When the output voltage is extremely low, the driver would shut off and re-start at intervals. Correspondingly, users would see the LED light blink.
In the case of over-voltage, the waterproof LED driver would only provide a constant voltage. Through test and inspection, users would know that the output current was not up to its rated value and a low brightness of the light could be observed.
