1. Soft gels are of flexibility, which isdetermined by the materials of soft capsules, and by the proportion of gelatin,plasticizer, and water.
2. Soft gels can make up for the deficiencies of other dosages. For example,oily and liquid medicines are not easy to be produced as pills or tabletsexcept as soft gels.
3. Like hard capsules, soft gels feature convenience, high rate of utilization,stability and efficiency.

Producing Methods of Softgels
Soft gels are mainly made of plastic materials(gelatin), plasticizer (glycerol, sorbitol, etc.), additives(preservatives, spices, shading, etc), and water.In producing soft gels, filling materials and formingare conducted at the same time.

Production methods are divided into suppression method(molding method) and dropping method.
1. Suppression method: First, prepare capsule material glue. Sink gelatin intodistilled water until expansion. After dissolution, the expanded gelatin shouldbe mixed with other materials by stirring until they are blended evenly.Second, make film. Take out the prepared capsule material glue,paint it on the flat plate surface until reaching the even thickness. Then heatit with the temperature of about 90 degrees. After surface water is evaporated,the soft film with certain toughness and flexibility is made. Third, press softcapsules. When producing in small scale, manual pressure pill mold suppressionis applied, while in large scale, automatic rotary rolling bag machines areapplied.
2. Dropping method: it is the approach to prepare soft capsules. In producing,we should take into account of the glue recipe, viscosity, the density andtemperature of other liquid materials
