Olycom handheld optical power meter provides microprocessor control, wide measuring range, and high resolution. The intelligent optical power meter can measure the optical power of 1310nm and 1550nm wavelength efficiently and accurately. The handheld optical power meter is typically used for measuring the power of continuous optical signals and optical loss of optical fiber, optical cable, and optical devices. With Si detector, the PM2 power meter has a testing wavelength range of 400~1050 nm and optical power range of -60~ 25dBm.
Through the use of InGaAs detector, Olycom handheld optical power meter provides a testing wavelength range of 800-1600nm and -70~ 10 dBm optical power measurement with high resolution to 0.001dB. The power meter has five calibration points for wavelength of 850nm, 980nm, 1310nm, 1480nm and 1550nm. It can display the optical power both linearly and nonlinearly. The handheld optical power meter is not only applicable to absolute measurement on optical power but also relative measurement on optical loss. The units for optical power display linearly are nW, μW and mW, while the unit for display nonlinearly is dBm, and for relative measurement, dB. The handheld optical power meter features large, four-digit LCD, automatic range switching, small size and light weight.
Applications
The handheld optical power meter is used in the manufacture of photoelectric components, testing of optical communication system, experimental measurement in colleges, universities and research institutes, as well as in engineering.
