Scalding Tank

Our scalding tank will scald more than 300 pigs/hour using a convection device to ensure continuous water circulation. The water temperature is thermostatically controlled at 60℃±2℃. Each pig carcass needs 4-6 minutes for a full scalding to ensure an easy, thorough bristle removal.

Features The tank is a double-layer stainless steel structure filled with polyurethane foam to maintain the water temperature. The span between pig carcasses is 0.8m. This appropriate distance helps save both space and energy. The flow direction should be opposite to the direction of transportation of pig carcasses, while the impact force of flow ensures pig carcasses remain in place to avoid decoupling. The scalding tank can be used in combination with a spiral dehairing machine to achieve a highly efficient and continuous production.
