More functions as follows
We set two selective operation modes in this single band vehicle radio or mobile radio, including amateur type and professional type. For convenience, we distribute the buttons reasonably and also apply adjustable brightness type huge LCD for use at night. By adoption of 5 tone, our product is able to send message, emergency alarm, call all, ANI, remotely kill and waken and so on. One of the advantageous functions is automatic calling identification in use of DTMF and ANI, or 5 tone and ANI. Besides, due to the compander function, it can not only set compander ON or OFF each channel, but also reduce the background noise and also improve audio clarity.
Trouble Shooting
Problem | Possible Causes and Potential Solutions |
Power is on, nothing appears on Display | Polarities of power connection are reversed. You must connect red lead plus terminal and black lead to minus terminal of DC power supply. |
Fuse is blown | You might as well check and solve problem resulting in blown fuse and replace fuse with new fuse. |
Display is too dim | Dimmer setting is LAMP-L. Please make the dimmer setting LAMP-H. |
No sound comes fromspeaker | Squelch is muted and squelch level can be reduced. Tone or CTCSS/DCS squelch is active. CTCSS or DCS squelch should be turned off. |
Key and Dial do not function | Key lock function is activated and should be cancelled. |
Rotating Dial will notchange memory channel | Transceiver is in CALL mode. You must press the VFO or memory mode |
PTT key is pressed buttransmission does not occur | Both microphone connection and antenna connection are poor, so the microphone and antenna should be connected properly. |
Install USB Cable Driver Program of Single Band Vehicle Radio or Mobile Radio
Firstly, you should click these menus in order, involving start, all programs, and USB to com port in QPS588 program. Then, you can install the driver of USB to com port by indication. Next, the alternative PC50 USB Programming cable should be connected to USB port in PC with transceiver in reference to picture 1. After that, you must double click QPS588 shortcut or click QPS588 in procedure index of start menu. In order to begin programming software, you should then select the serial COM Port and click OK in reference for picture 2. Finally, you can abide by the instruction to choose correct COM Port as picture 3 and click OK.
Note
As long as the USB cable touches distinct USB port, the alternative COM Port can be different even in the same computer. Thus, you might as well install software before the connection of USB cable line, and then switch on transceiver before writing frequency. In order to avoid the transceiver unable to read or write frequency, it is not allowed to switch on or off the power supply of transceiver in contact with computer. Or else, you must turn off programming software, pull out USB cable, reinsert USB cable and then open software and select COM Port to make this device normally work again. After you switch on the transceiver, you might as well connect this transceiver with computer. At the same time, restarting transceiver power is prohibited.
