Bridge Floor Wire Sawing

Due to collision by ships, a pile of the bridge was once broken. According to design requirement, three-span continuous beam at the pile-broken area was needed to be removed. During the period of removal, traffic on the bridge could not be closed and one lane must be kept unblocked. Jib crane on ship was used in the construction project.

To ensure safe removal, quick and efficient construction, no damage to other part of the bridge and unblocked traffic, we employed non-destructive and vibration free wire saws to cut the bridge floor and kept the hollow slabs undamaged during wire sawing. The hollow slabs were used for following reinforcement project.

Construction Process:
1. Positioning and paying off hoist wire rope;
2. Wire sawing system installation;
3. Drilling holes for hoisting;
4. Sawing by sections;
5. Hoisting and transporting;
6. Complete
