DAEWOO
Daewoo Motors, part of the Daewoo Group, is the second biggest South Korean automotive company with annual output of over 600,000 sets of cars. In 1967, Saehan Motor was founded and then changed its name to Shinjin Motors. In 1983,it was renamed as Daewoo Motor Co..
Since its foundation, DAEWOO has been cooperating closely with General Motors Company to manufacture cars, motor coaches and 8T (or above) trucks. It aims at export business, and sold automobiles to the USA in 1984, making it the first Korean automaker that explored foreign market.
