Properties
Penicillin G Procaine is a white or whitish powder. It immediately loses effectiveness in acids, alkalis or oxidants. This product is very soluble in methanol. It is slightly soluble in water, ethanol or chloroform.
Applications
1. As a kind of penicillin antibiotics, this product is applicable for less severe infections. It is also used for treating the Streptococcus pneumonia, Meningitis, Syphilis, and more.
2. Due to low plasma concentration, Penicillin G Procaine is restricted to treating the Tonsillitis, Scarlet fever, Erysipelas, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Boils, Carbuncle, Vincent's angina, and other light or moderate infections caused by organisms that are highly sensitive to penicillin.
3. In addition, this product is desirable for treating the Leptospirosis, Relapsing Fever, and Early Syphilis.
