Sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydrogen carbonate is a kind of white crystalline powder. It breaks down at 50℃ into sodium carbonate, carbon dioxide and water.
Application
Sodium bicarbonate is the most widely used bulking agent for the production of biscuit, bread, steamed bread, cake and so on. It is a CO2 source in drinks. After combined with alumen, it becomes a kind of alkaline ferment powder. Besides, it can serve as preservative for butter.
