According to design requirement, the feeding materials should be placed separately on the hearth, so as to get all surfaces heated. Due to this design, the steel billets will be heated uniformly in a short period of time, which largely saves energy consumption.

3. Low Material Loss
This industrial heating system is completely sealed except the material feeding and discharging ports. Therefore, the incoming of cold air is maximally reduced, which contributes to little steel oxidation. Additionally, the feeding materials rotate along the turn-table without any relative motion or abrasion. This makes sure the oxide scale will not peel off easily, which greatly reduces material loss as well.

4. Easy Operation
The rotary hearth furnace is flexible in usage. For instance, according to specific demands, users can take out all of or partial of the heat treated products. That is, during heating process, the feeding material can be taken out partially, thus leaving a space for heating other types of products. This allows the heating equipment to heat products with different specifications synchronously.

Working Principle of the Rotary Hearth Furnace
1. The rotary hearth furnace consists of an annular hearth, and a turn-table on which the pipe billets travels from the feeding port to the discharging port. Finally, the round billets will be taken out by the discharging machine.

2. While the steel billets rotate along with the turn-table, they are heated uniformly to desired temperatures by the burner nozzles positioned on the stationary furnace walls and roof.

3. For optimized heating quality, the annular furnace is peripherically divided into several temperature control zones: the preheating zone, heating zone, and the uniform heating zone. Each zone can be further divided into several sub-zones to improve temperature control precision. Thus, the heating quality for steel pipe billets can be guaranteed.
