As a kind of broad spectrum pesticide, thiamethoxam fits to protect a wide selection of agricultural crops, including the rice, beet, rape, potato, cotton, pea bean, fruit tree, peanut, sunflower, soybean, tobacco, orange, etc. It has high activity for controlling the pests of coleopteran, diptera, lepidoptera, and especially the pests of homoptera.
Typically, this neonicotinoid pesticide is effective against the aphid, leafhopper, plant hopper, aleyrodid, white grub, potato beetle, nematode, ground beetle and the leaf miner as well as the pests which are resistant to other kinds of chemical pesticides.
Usages
1. When the insecticide is used for chemical control of brown planthopper
Spraying should be carried out when the young brown planthopper was born. Each hectare field will make use of 450 to 600L solution with 24 to 48g thiamethoxam 25% WP. Directly spraying on the leaf surface is advisable for the solution can be rapidly transmitted to all the other parts of the plant.
2. When the pest control chemical is used for treatment of woolly apple aphids
Spraying the solution on the leaf surface is recommended. The dilution is 5000 to 10000 times.
3. When thiamethoxam serves as whiteflies control insecticide in melons.
Spraying is feasible with the dilution of 2500 to 5000 times.
4. For cotton thrips control
Each hectare field needs the dosage of 195 to 390g for spraying.
5. For pear psylla control
Spraying the product with water. The dilution is 10000 times..
6. For citrus leafminer control
Mix the thiamethoxam with water for spraying and the dilution is 3000 to 4000 times.
