Taps for Screw Thread

The standard for machine tap has ISO529, DIN171, DIN374, DIN352 and DIN376. The surface color of the product is white, black or golden. According to the process, the product has the straight flute type, spiral flute type and spiral point type.

Type A Straight Flute Tap for Screw Thread
The product has high versatility and low price. It can process both nonferrous and ferrous metal as well as through-hole type and dead hole type material. Every thing has two sides. The product is not very good at doing one special processing work. The cutting cone has 2, 4 or 6 teeth. Long cone is fit for through-hole type processing. The short cone is suitable for dead hole type processing. As long as the bottom hole is deep enough, the long cutting cone is recommended. Thus, there are more teeth sharing the cutting load. Then, the service life time of the product can be improved effectively.

Type B Spiral Flute Tap for Screw Thread
The spiral flute of the product rotates to the right side with about 35°. So, the cutting debris is discharged from the inside of the hole to outside. On accounting of that, the product is especially fit for tapping in dead steel hole. The cutting debris can be discharged continuously to lead to good tapping effect. The cutting speed of the product is faster than that of straight flute product by 30% to 50%. As to the cast iron which generates fine and small cutting debris, the product won't get that good tapping effect.

Type C Spiral Point Tap for Screw Thread
The flute of the product at front end is designed uniquely with gun flute for easy debris discharge. The small torque and stable precision make the product perform better in durability. When using the product to tap thread, the cutting debris is discharged from front end. The core part of the product is designed with large size and good strength to bear comparatively large cutting force. The product is recommended to process the through-hole thread. It is superior in processing the nonferrous metal, stainless steel and ferrous metal.
