Air insulated ring main unit is a compact metal-enclosed switchgear designed to supply and protection of electrical power in open ring or radial distribution system of 12/24kV with three phase AC rated frequency 50~60Hz. The ring main unit uses SF6 gas (sulphur hexafluoride) as the insulating gas, coupled with advanced protection relays and sensor technology, it suited to various network applications including distribution stations, substations, switching stations, as well as power systems in industrial enterprises, residential areas, airports, hospitals, railways, tunnels and high-rise buildings. We are capable of providing solutions tailored to users’ specific needs.
The ring main unit consists of busbar compartment, 3-position load break switch compartment (or circuit breaker compartment), cable compartment, operating mechanism, interlocking mechanism, low voltage control, etc. All compartments are segregated from each other by means of steel sheets to avoid faulty component from affecting adjacent compartments.
