600A, 15kV Deadbreak Junction

The CEE MPx -15/600 and CEE MP -25/600 Deadbreak Junction ("x " is the number code of branch) , rated at 15kV or25kV, provides two, three or four 600Amp deadbreak interfaces based together and encapsulated in a precision molded peroxide curedEPDM insulated rubber body with a semi-conductiveouter shield. Deadbreak Junctions are used in padmount apparatus, underground vaults, and other installations toestablish loops, taps andsplices, and facilitateapparatus change-outs. Sectionalizing a cable run tofind and isolate a cable fault is made easy when a deadbreak junction is used with deadbreak connectors meetingthe requirements of ANSI/IEEE Standard 386-"Separable Insulated ConnectorSystems". When mated with a comparably rated product, this deadbreak junction provides a fully shielded, submersiblethreaded connection for deadbreak operation.

Application
Deadbreak Junctions are used in padmount apparatus, undergroundvaults, and other installations to establish loops, taps and splices, andfacilitate apparatus change-outs.
