Aerial Fiber Optic Cable

Description
Aerial fiber optic cables are used in self-supporting aerial installations, and usually hung on poles. It is a loose tube fiber cable made of a central 250um optic fiber, surrounded by a water blocking material and outer loose tube made of a highly modulus material. The loose tube fiber cable is then twisted around a central strength member to form a round cable core. The cable core is then sheathed with APL and steel stranded wires, then squeezed in a figure 8 PE jacket.

Features The direct buried fiber optic cable has an excellent mechanical property and temperature resistance. The loose tube material features an excellent hydrolysis resistance and higher strength. The special factice filled in the cable protects the fiber. The direct buried fiber optic cable has great stress tolerance and flexibility.

The following measures protect the fiber from water.

The fiber optic cable uses a steel wire as the central strength member. The special waterproof compound is filled in the loose tube. 100% cable core filling. The APL moisture proof coating clads tightly around the cable core. The PSP improves the waterproof characteristics. High quality water blocking material prevents water penetration.
