Description
The carbon steel 180 degree short radius elbow is commonly used in bending position of pipes so as to change the flow direction. With bending radius the same as the outer diameter, this range of short radius pipe elbow is applicable for changing flow direction in narrow spaces. The maximum working pressure of short radius ones is usually 80% of long radius types.
We can offer both the miter elbow composed of several links and the common types with smooth arc surface. The common types are widely used in pipeline network systems, while the miter types are mainly applied for large diameter water and other liquid transmitting pipes with low working pressure (designed pressure no more than 2.0Mpa) and medium flow speed.
When the direction-changing angle between links exceeds 45 degrees, our 180 degree miter elbow will be banned to be utilized in pipes for delivering toxic or flammable medium, neither pipes suffering from vibration or pressure fluctuation. Additionally, this carbon steel short radius elbow cannot be used for pipes with alternating loads caused by temperature change, either.
